Long weekend

I love long weekends!!! Friday night we left when Donald and Amelia got home from graduation. we got to Cathy's about 11:30 and the girls were WIDE awake!!! They finally settled down about an hour later. On Saturday we decided to go to Amicalola Falls, or as Amelia kept calling it Agricola Falls Down. (I guess she had heard Abby talking about Agirama )(?sp)....anyway....

It was a little cool when we got there and Big Girl has grown out of all her jackets so we had to snag a hoodie.... We had a picnic lunch and then started the hike to the top of the falls. Now you may think wow so smart taking the stroller and it was.....until I had to come down by myself with the stroller.

We climbed the 175 steps to the top and Amelia was just thrilled.

She was amazed by it!!!

I took Avie back down the 175 steps and Amelia and Donald went the other way down the trail. She was so proud of herself for going on a hike. She was also excited when she got to the bottom and we were waiting at the playground.

Today, the 25th, Avie is 13 months!!! Her newest thing is she has turned into a bottomless pit. I truly thinks she could and does eat nonstop. She does not care what you have she wants a bite. I gave in and gave her a whole cookie, and she ate it....and wanted another one.
Avie loved the slides as well. Once she went down she wanted to mountain climb back up the slide.

Then down the BIG slide with Amelia......she looks a little scared to me.

A view from the top.

Avie's face when she first saw the bear was so funny!!!!
To say they were exhausted would have been an understatement!!!
On Sunday we went to the Braves game. It was cold and wet.....then the sun came out....and it was HOT!!!!

They have a bunch of things for kids to do, Amelia did so good at hitting the ball here.

Our seats were about 4 rows up from the braves dugout....the foul ball situation made me a little nervous.
Avie was good until the game started and then she was so tired she could not even go to sleep.
After the game all the kids got to run the bases. This is Amelia in front of the dugout before her turn.

See her looking back
there she goes

coming home

remember how I said it got hot..........well we kept Avie out of the sun we thought the whole time....however we were very wrong. Last night her cheeks were red which they always do that when she is in the sun, but when she woke up this morning she had a HUGE blister on one cheek and the other was very puffy. On the way home she rubbed her face and popped the blister....it looks bad.....
She loved riding the horses at the mall we stopped at.

the hoodie was a great investment because she looked SUPER CUTE in it! Also, it takes me less than 2 hours to get to Turner field....I'm just sayin. AND, I'm thinking of a GREAT thing ya'll could do with one of your long weekends!! (And tell Avie, I have sunscreen at my house!) :^) love ya'll and miss you!
